OCCUPATIONAL 
THERAPY

Pediatric occupational therapists use a holistic approach to help children to succeed in meeting the daily needs of childhood, which include play, leisure, learning, and self-care tasks.  Pediatric occupational therapists assess and promote the development of self-regulation, sensory development, and fine motor, cognitive, and visual motor skills.

Children who may benefit from occupational therapy include but are not limited to those with developmental delays, fine motor delays, sensory processing disorders, learning challenges, Autism, Down syndrome, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, cerebral palsy.  The following are some areas that occupational therapy can address:
